The National Honor Society is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginnings in 1921.

Juniors and seniors who have an unweighted GPA of 3.75 or better will be invited to apply for membership each August. Applications are evaluated by a faculty committee on the basis of leadership, character, and service to school and the community. Students who demonstrate excellence in all areas will be extended membership.

Please see the National Honor Society website for more information about the four pillars of NHS.
