Join the FREE UC Berkeley STEM Shadowing Event!
What is this event? A free shadowing event for Bay Area high school students to learn about college and STEM programs at UC Berkeley. Each student will receive a mentor for a day and participate in exciting activities like visiting labs, sitting in on lectures, chatting with professors, and attending college application workshops.
Event Details:
- Location: UC Berkeley
- Date and Time: April 9th, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Lunch: Provided
- Transportation: Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event. All other expenses are covered.
Purpose: Encourage young students to study engineering in college by providing them with hands-on experiences and mentorship.
Eligibility:
- Current high school students from the Bay Area
- Students from underrepresented backgrounds are encouraged to apply
How to Sign Up:
- Application Form: Fill out the Application form (takes approximately 5 minutes)
- Deadline: March 21st
Notification: Students will be informed of their selection by March 28th
Youth Mental Health Academy
Are you interested in a career in mental health? The Youth Mental Health Academy (YMHA) is a fantastic program that offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and paid internships to high school students from structurally marginalized communities in California.
Program Details:
- First Summer: June 23 – July 24, 2025 (Onsite Mental Health Academy)
- Academic Year: August 2025 – May 2026 (Monthly workshops & mentor support)
- Second Summer: July & August 2026 (Internship in a mental health-related field)

- Notification: May 1, 2025

FCUSD CTE Summer Preceptorship Program
For Juniors who have taken a CTE course. CTESPP is a four-week, hybrid high school work-based learning course consisting of in-class instruction, an internship with a Business partner, that culminates into a research project.
