APSEA Foundation Scholarship Opportunity for 2025-2026

Purpose

The APSEA Foundation aims to support students who are actively involved in their communities and committed to their education. This year, we are offering scholarships to students who demonstrate involvement in the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community and those who emphasize diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) qualities through community service.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Demonstrate involvement in the API community.
• Be currently enrolled as a high school senior in good academic standing (2.5 GPA or above).
• Reside and attend school in one of the following counties: Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba, or Placer.
• Plan to attend a four-year university/college, community college, or vocational school in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Additionally, we are awarding a scholarship to a student who demonstrates a commitment to DEI through community service, which does not have to be specifically within the AAPI community.

BAAM Scholarship

BAMM stands for Bay Area Mobility Management. This organization focuses on supporting professionals in the mobility industry, including those involved in corporate relocation and immigration services. The BAMM Scholarship is one of their initiatives to support high school seniors who have relocated or immigrated into Northern California.

Purpose: To support high school seniors who have relocated or immigrated into Northern California, recognizing their academic excellence and involvement in extracurricular activities despite the challenges of relocation.

Eligibility:

• Current high school senior in good standing in a greater Northern California area high school.

• Have relocated and changed schools due to this relocation (including asylum-seeking situations). Relocation is defined as moving more than 50 miles away from their home or current place of residence, either indefinitely or for a period longer than one year.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).

Award Amount: Two scholarships.

Cabrillo Civic Clubs of California Scholarship 

Eligibility:

1. Must be of Portuguese descent and a USA citizen or permanent resident.
2. Must have maintained a minimum 3.50 Total Weighted GPA for Grades 9-12 and be a graduating Senior of a California high school.
3. Must meet all entrance requirements of the accredited community college, college, trade school, or university you plan to attend.
4. Must have participated in at least three (3) extra-curricular activities while in high school.
5. Must present one (1) letter of recommendation from a Principal, Dean, Counselor, or Teacher of the high school currently attending.
6. Must complete the Application for an Undergraduate Scholarship, including the essay.

Award Amount: $500.00

Folsom Athletic Association (FAA) - 2025 Scholarship Application

The Folsom Athletic Association (FAA) is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to community youth sports. The FAA creates recreation and athletic opportunities through teamwork, fundraising, programs, events, and scholarships.

Eligibility:

• Must be a graduating senior from Folsom High School, Vista del Lago High School, or Folsom Lake High School.
• Demonstrated involvement in community youth sports leagues and extracurricular activities.
• Commitment to teamwork and leadership.

Purpose: The scholarship aims to support students who have shown dedication to community youth sports and have demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.

Scholarships Available:

• Ernie Sheldon Memorial Scholarship: Up to two recipients, $1,000-1,500 each.
• Lois B. Young Scholarship: Up to two scholarships, $1,000 each.
• Chuck Harrison “PACE” Memorial Scholarship: One recipient, $1,500. There is no application for this scholarship.

Purpose: The Ken Grossfeld Memorial Scholarship aims to support senior applicants who plan to pursue further education or training in a two-year junior college, four-year university, military, law enforcement, fire academy, trade, or tech school.

• Plan to attend a two-year junior college, four-year university, military, law enforcement, fire academy, trade, or tech school.

Folsom Garden Club

The Folsom Garden Club is offering two $500-$1,000 scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year: one for a Folsom High School senior and one for a Vista del Lago High School senior.

Purpose: The scholarship aims to support students who are pursuing further education in fields related to horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, botany, forestry, agronomy, conservation, plant pathology, environmental concerns, and other closely related subjects.

Eligibility:

1. Applicant must be a California resident and one of the following:
   • A resident (permanent home address) of the City of Folsom or an approved transfer student at Folsom High School or Vista del Lago High School.
2. Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to apply.
3. Applicant must be a student at Folsom High School or Vista del Lago High School who will be entering their freshman year at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025.
4. Applicant must be majoring in one of the specified fields listed above.

Folsom Rotary Anne Scholarship Opportunity

The Folsom Rotary Anne Club is pleased to announce the availability of two $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors from your school. These scholarships are intended to provide financial assistance to students attending community college at Folsom Lake College or any Los Rios District affiliate campus.

Purpose

The Folsom Rotary Anne Club aims to support students in achieving their academic goals through continued education. This scholarship is based on financial need rather than academic performance.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a graduating senior who will be attending community college in the Fall immediately following high school graduation.
2. Currently reside in Folsom.
3. The scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, housing, and/or other living expenses. A check will be mailed directly to the student upon proof of enrollment.

To be considered, applicants must complete the following steps:

1. Complete the application in full.
2. Include an official transcript showing all high schools attended and all grades received.
3. Include at least two letters of recommendation.
4. Complete the essay section described on the last page. This is an opportunity for the club to become better acquainted with you. Please write or type a minimum of 250 words.

67th Annual Natoma Lodge No. 64 Celebration of Public Schools

2025 Scholarship Program

Natoma Lodge No. 64, Free and Accepted Masons of California, will be awarding scholarships of one thousand dollars ($1,000) for college tuition, books, or supplies to graduating seniors who are planning to further their education at the post-secondary level. Scholarship Details:
