Summer Opportunities
Boys & Girls State Application Now Open!
Boys & Girls State is a prestigious, hands‑on summer leadership and citizenship program where students learn about government, civic engagement, and public service. These programs are sponsored by the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary.
What It Is
Participants spend a week:
- Running a mock city, county, and state government
- Learning leadership skills
- Participating in debates, campaigns, and elections
- Meeting motivated students from across California
Eligibility
- Open to current high school juniors
- GPA 3.0 or higher
- Ideal candidates show leadership: Active student leader or athlete. Civic minded or involved in community service.

Submit to Mrs. Munoz in the College & Career Center. All applicants will be notified by Feb 26th of their standing. - Interviews: March 4

SMASH Academy 2026 -UC Berkeley
SMASH Academy is a FREE STEM-focused college prep program for current 10th and 11th graders. Students will spend two weeks at UC Berkeley and one week in virtual competitions, gaining hands-on experience in Computer Science, Design Thinking, and College & Career Navigation.
Program Dates: July 11 – July 31, 2026
